KinderBach Piano/Keyboard DVD/CD Curriculum Levels 1-6 plus Everyday & Christmas Songs by K. Gregor
This is a gently-used set of levels 1-6 boxed DVD/CDs of KinderBach curriculum for ages 2-7 plus the Everyday Songs and Christmas Songs CD sets. This was used lightly and all discs and cases are in good shape. It appears that perhaps KinderBach no longer has a website or produces curriculum, but they do still have a YouTube channel that you can check out. I purchased this set about 12 years ago and used some of it with my children. It is a fun and interactive curriclum for beginning keyboard/piano for preschoolers through age 7. My Country, ‘Tis of Thee: How One Song Reveals the History of Civil Rights
More than any other, one song traces America’s history of patriotism and protest.
Everyone knows the words to “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee.” What most don’t realize is that this iconic song has been a beacon of change for hundreds of years. Generations of protesters and civil rights pioneers have created new lyrics, beginning in royalist Britain and continuing through conflicts in colonial times, the American Revolution, the suffragist and labor movements, and the struggles for black and Native American civil rights. With spectacular illustrations by Caldecott Honor–winning artist Bryan Collier, My Country, ‘Tis of Thee offers a fascinating insight into the American fight for freedom.

The Greenleaf Guide to Ancient Egypt
Ever wonder how biblical history and ancient Egyptian history fit together? Why was God so angry with Pharaoh, anyway? These were questions we asked when we began our study of Ancient Egypt. We wanted to start our study of Western history by beginning at the beginning. After reading through the Old Testament (which is history, after all) we study ancient Egypt. The Greenleaf Guide to Ancient Egypt presents ten lesson plans, using the six books listed below. Included are vocabulary lists and discussion questions drawn from the reading. Also included are directions for playing a checkers like game found in Tut s tomb, directions for building a model shaduf (irrigate like the Egyptians!), as well as suggestions for how to adapt your study to fit grades 2-7. Home school tested. Excellent for Konos or Unit studies. Average duration is about 15 weeks.

Early Times: The Story of Ancient Egypt
Nearly 5,000 years ago, a great and powerful empire emerged from the fertile silt along the Nile River. Colossal temples and monuments rose from the surrounding desert plateaus and valleys. Miraculously preserved human bodies were sealed away with untold riches in mysterious hidden tombs. Strange markings, the archaic symbols of an advanced bygone civilization revealed animal headed gods, powerful kings, and mighty warriors. Get ready to discover the fascinating world of the ancient Egyptians.
Uncover the incredible secrets of ancient Egypt:
How were Mummies prepared for their epic journey into the afterlife? The bizarre rituals and grisly methods of ancient embalming may shock you!
How in the world could such an early civilization engineer and erect gargantuan monuments like the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, or the temple at Karnak?
Evidence shows that Egyptians accurately predicted eclipses, floods and even created the first solar calendar to record the passage of time. Could these early astronomers actually use the stars to measure time and space?
What happened when then when someone got sick, broke a bone, or got a cavity? Ancient Egyptians were among the first physicians, but often their cures were just as life-threatening!
The Story of Ancient Egypt explores over 3,000 years of Egyptian history, from the early development of farming communities that spawned along the fertile Nile River, to the soaring temples and monuments of New Kingdom imperial Egypt. Each chapter is followed by a short quiz, additional discussion points, and suggested activities to delve further into the mysteries of ancient Egypt.
