D’Aulaire’s Boof of Greek Myths
This is the original/older version of this amazing book retelling Greek myths.
Starting with Gaea and Uranus (Earth and sky), stories are chronological to the Titans, Zeus and his descendants. Supporting characters are also given their due. You will read about Hera, Hades, Persephone, Pandora, Centaurs, Orpheus, the Gorgon, King Midas, Oedipus, and more.
We used this in conjunction with our Story of the World book 1: The Ancient World curriculum and Read with the Best for the Middle Grades Medieval Times.
My son and I were not looking forward to reading about all the gods and their stories but it is so well written that it quickly became a favorite read aloud! The stories and colorful illustrations were very interesting even to a 7th grade boy, probably much more so to a younger crowd!
The front cover has a bend at the corner (see picture), the title page inside has a very small crinkle on the bottom, and there is a label over the ISBN number on the back cover from where I bought it used myself.$7.50$19.95D’Aulaire’s Boof of Greek Myths
