Do I Need An Account To Place An Order?

Yes, you will need to create an account to place an order. This also allows you to log in and track your packages. Accounts are simple to create and free. Only an email is needed to start.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

Homeschool Used Book accepts the four major credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

How Do I Know How Used The Product Is?

The seller of each used book has noted a used condition as follows:
  • A: Like New - A book in perfect condition.
  • B: Well Loved - A well-loved book that has had limited use and remains in great condition.
  • C: Good - A book that shows wear from use, but remains in good condition.
  • D: Worn - A book that shows extensive use.
We strongly recommend you view the photographs of the used image carefully and ask the seller questions before purchasing.

What Shipping Methods Are Available?

Understanding the desire to save money on homeschool resources, Homeschool Used Book offers the most affordable shipping method: Trackable Media Mail. Utilizing our discounted rates, buyers pay less while sellers can track delivery.

Do You Ship Internationally?

Currently, Homeschool Used Book only ships in the United States.

How Do I Track My Order?

Once the vendors have shipped your books, you will receive an e-mail with tracking links for each shipment. Simply follow the links in that e-mail to receive tracking information.

How Long Will It Take To Get My Package?

Due to current Media Mail delays, packages may take up to one month from the shipping date for delivery. Many packages are delivered much sooner than that, but there's no way to know ahead of time if a package will take longer in transit.

How Can I Cancel Or Change My Order?

Because Homeschool Used Book is an automated marketplace with multiple vendors, once you place an order, your shipping label is immediately sent to the seller and orders can not be changed or cancelled. All sales are final. If you have ordered in error or changed your mind, you can list your products for sale on Homeschool Used Book.

How Can I Return a Product?

Policy: All sales are final on Homeschool Used Books. However, we will make an exception if the product was not as pictured, the wrong item, or defective.

Timeframe: Buyer must request a return within 5 days of package delivery through Homeschool Used Book Return Request Form. Please note that if we request additional information or photos, you must respond within 1 business day or your return request will be denied.

Buyer Process: After the request is made, Homeschool Used Book will contact the seller and investigate. If the product purchase price is over $10 and the return is approved, Homeschool Used Book will send the buyer a return label. Once the tracking has indicated shipment, the buyer's credit card will be credited the amount of the product they purchased.

If the product purchase price is under $10, return shipment will not be required and the buyer will receive store credit for the purchased price amount.

Seller Responsibility: If a buyer requests a return, we will reach out to you and investigate. Sellers are required to accept all returns approved by Homeschool Used Book.

If the product purchase price is over $10 and the return is approved, the seller is responsible for the return postage and the cost will be deducted from their commission balance.

If the product purchase price is under $10, the product will not be returned to the seller nor will any commission be added to or deducted from the seller's balance.

What If My Package Arrives Damaged?

In the rare occasion your package arrives damaged, you must submit a claim within 5 days of package delivery. Homeschool Used Book will investigate the cause of the damage.

If damage occurred due to improper packaging by seller, Homeschool Used Book will refund the buyer's credit card the purchase price and the seller will forfeit any commission.

If USPS is found responsible for the damage, Homeschool Used Book will refund the buyer's credit card the purchase price and the seller will receive commission in the form of store credit.

What If My Package Gets Lost In Transit?

Should your package not arrive in a timely manner, you can submit a lost package claim. Homeschool Used Book will review the tracking and work with USPS to find your package.

In the rare occasion a package is lost in transit, Homeschool Used Book will issue store credit for the purchase price to the buyer. The seller will still get the commission, in the form of store credit.

What If The Product Is Not In The Condition Described?

Homeschool Used Book requires sellers to add photo(s) of the used products they are selling. It is the responsibility of the buyer to review the photo(s), read the description, ask questions of the buyer, and review the condition assigned before purchasing.

If you feel you have not received the item as described, you can submit a request for a return. However, the difference in condition must be significant for Homeschool Used Book to approve a return.

I ordered books, but the post office is returning them to the vendor. How do I get my books?

If the package is being returned due to an incorrect address entered when ordering, the buyer is responsible for the cost of re-shipping the books and any carrier return fees incurred. The package will be re-shipped to the corrected address once the vendor has received it and the buyer has paid for the shipping and return charges.

If the post office held the package for pickup and returned it after the hold period had expired because the buyer did not arrange for pickup or redelivery of the package, then the buyer is responsible for the cost of re-shipping the books and any carrier return fees incurred. The package will be re-shipped once the vendor has received it and the buyer has paid for the shipping and return charges.
